Bella Vista Adult Family Homes welcomes you and your family with open arms to our two homes; Sandalwood and Bella Vista. We provide comprehensive services customized to each resident's needs.

In other words, we offer individualized negotiated care for each resident, based on their personal needs. Both of our beautiful homes are modern single family homes, one level ranchers, and accessible to wheel chairs, Hoyer lifts, and walkers.

Both of adult family homes are regular neighborhood homes, not distinct from neighboring homes, where we provide personal care and assume responsibility for the safety and well-being of elderly and vulnerable adults.

We provide a shared or private room, three healthy meals and snacks every day, laundry, supervision and varying levels of assistance with individual personal care. We provide some occasional nursing care from our contracted registered nurse.

We have a contracted and reliable pharmacy, which is one-stop shop for supply and delivery of all our medical supplies and medications.

We also have a visiting Physician available to serve all residents in our homes, on a regular basis. We offer specialized care for people with either mental health issues, developmental disabilities or dementia.

Short-Term / Respite Care:

Bella Vista Adult Family Home offers Short-Term / Respite Care with daily rates for anyone who needs to stay for less than a month. Respite Care services can offer relief for current caregivers, allowing them to take a much-needed break.

With a specialty in caring for adults with developmental disabilities, they have the certifications, expertise and experience to accommodate and care for disabled adults through all stages of life.

Hospice Care:

They provide personalized and compassionate hospice care services for residents and their families during the end-stages of life. Respect and dignity are top priorities for residents and their families – especially during these times.

Hoyer Lift:

They have an on-site Hoyer lift available for those who need it, and their caregivers have proper training and experience using it.

Seeking Medicaid Resident

Bella Vista Adult Family Home accepts Medicaid, and is seeking a Medicaid resident for this available room. Medicaid recipients typically need to have an assessment from Medicaid which will include the resident’s level of required care, as well as the daily and monthly dollar amount that Medicaid will cover for their care. There may also be certain waivers available for qualifying residents, which may cover additional items that Medicaid itself will not cover. Each state has very different Medicaid rules, coverages and limits, as well as different available waiver programs. Bella Vista Adult Family Home provides 24/7 supervision, emergency assistance and daily companionship as a base service for all residents.

Meals

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included every day. Accommodations can be made for any dietary restrictions or special doctor-prescribed diets. Additional food items such as coffee, tea and snacks between meals are also included.

Medications Management

Medications Management is provided as a service for all residents. Caregivers and staff keep track of administration schedules as well as prescription refill schedules.

Blood Pressure and Weight Checks

Regular blood pressure and weight checks are done at scheduled intervals, and recorded to track irregularities.

Housekeeping and Laundry

Bella Vista Adult Family Home does all daily housekeeping throughout the home as well as in your room. Laundry is provided for your flat linens on a set schedule or sooner if needed. Your personal laundry is also washed and folded regularly by care staff.

Activities

A range of social and recreational activities are offered every week to keep residents occupied, entertained and engaged. Feel free to ask what types of activities are scheduled for this week.

Utilities

All standard home utilities are included in the base price. (This excludes personal cell phone plans which are paid for by the resident or family.)

Transportation

Local transportation for certain scheduled outings, as well as doctor visits is provided at no additional cost.
