The Cottages of Lacey, a memory care community combines the best features of both adult family homes and commercial assisted living communities. Here you will find an intimate environment where residents receive individual attention provided by a professionally managed, highly trained and compassionate staff, available 24 hours a day and seven days a week.

The Cottages of Lacey, a memory care community is ideally located not far from I5 and close to Nisqually to make it easy access for you to come and visit your loved one. An enclosed outdoor area provides opportunity for residents to stroll and exercise. Your family will feel at ease knowing your loved one is at home at The Cottages of Lacey.

Lacey is a city in Thurston County, Washington, United States. Established as a suburb of Olympia, Lacey was originally called Woodland after settlers Isaac and Catherine Wood. The name Lacey was chosen for the new post office, presumably after O. C. Lacey, the local Justice of the Peace, because a town named Woodland already existed on the Columbia River.

The Cottages at Lacey is a Memory Care facility located in Lacey, WA. In Washington State, Memory Care is a term used to describe the professional care provided to individuals who suffer from Alzheimer’s or other types of dementia. Smoking Policy:

The Cottages at Lacey does not allow smoking on the premises, but they do allow the use of Vapor/E-cigarettes in designated areas. They have one or more designated areas outside where Vapor/E-cigarette users can vape away from the building and away from other residents. Vaping indoors or anywhere outside the designated areas is strictly prohibited.

Short-Term / Respite Care:

The Cottages at Lacey offers Short-Term / Respite Care with daily rates for anyone who needs to stay for less than a month. Respite Care services can offer relief for current caregivers, allowing them to take a much-needed break.

Specialized Care for Adults with Developmental Disabilities:

With a specialty in caring for adults with developmental disabilities, they have the certifications, expertise and experience to accommodate and care for disabled adults through all stages of life.

Onsite Rehabilitative Services:

This facility offers in-house rehabilitative services. These services may vary from providing assistance with stretching, range-of-motion, or following a prescribed at-home plan, to a full on-site exercise room with professional equipment and physical therapists. If you need onsite rehabilitative services, please make sure to verify what type of rehab services are offered at this location. Additionally, visiting therapists for scheduled physical therapy treatments may be accommodated.

Hospice Care:

They provide personalized and compassionate hospice care services for residents and their families during the end-stages of life. Respect and dignity are top priorities for residents and their families – especially during these times.

What is the cost?

The base price is $194 per day or $6,000 per month. There's a lot that's included in the base price, but assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) is typically not included. ADLs are common daily tasks such as grooming, dressing, eating and bathing (among others). The final price is different for each resident, and is determined according to how much daily care and assistance with ADLs is required each day.

What's included in the base price?

The Cottages at Lacey provides 24/7 supervision, emergency assistance and daily companionship as a base service for all residents.

Meals

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included every day. Accommodations can be made for any dietary restrictions or special doctor-prescribed diets. Additional food items such as coffee, tea and snacks between meals are also included.

Medications Management

Medications Management is provided as a service for all residents. Caregivers and staff keep track of administration schedules as well as prescription refill schedules.

Blood Pressure and Weight Checks

Regular blood pressure and weight checks are done at scheduled intervals, and recorded to track irregularities.

Housekeeping and Laundry

The Cottages at Lacey does all daily housekeeping throughout the home as well as in your room. Laundry is provided for your flat linens on a set schedule or sooner if needed. Your personal laundry is also washed and folded regularly by care staff.

Activities

A range of social and recreational activities are offered every week to keep residents occupied, entertained and engaged. Feel free to ask what types of activities are scheduled for this week.
