Emerald City Senior Living is an Assisted Living Facility located in SEATTLE, WA. Assisted Living Facilities in Washington are typically licensed to care for 7+ residents. Some smaller Assisted Living Facilities may accommodate 7 – 20 residents, but the average is between 60-70 residents per facility. WA Assisted Living Facilities are typically large apartment / resort style facilities that encourage social interactions, group activities and communal dining. They are perfect for people who need some daily assistance, but prefer a much more independent and social lifestyle. Assisted Living Facilities typically employ less caregivers per resident than smaller Adult Family Homes. This encourages independence and social interaction, but may not be suitable for residents who require constant attention and care from staff.
Emerald City Senior Living currently has a room available, and is looking for the right resident to join their facility. The available room listed here is a private 1-Bedroom Suite which may also be referred to as a 1-Bedroom Apartment or Cottage. Besides the bedroom, a 1-bedroom suite will typically include a separate living room and kitchen. The size is listed as 520 Sq Ft. The bathroom is private, and wont be used by anybody else but you.

Pets:

Emerald City Senior Living does not allow pets. This does not necessarily mean there are no pets in the facility, but that they do not allow residents to bring their own.

Smoking Policy:

Emerald City Senior Living does not allow smoking on the premises, but they do allow the use of Vapor/E-cigarettes in designated areas. They have one or more designated areas outside where Vapor/E-cigarette users can vape away from the building and away from other residents. Vaping indoors or anywhere outside the designated areas is strictly prohibited.

Short-Term / Respite Care:

Emerald City Senior Living offers Short-Term / Respite Care with daily rates for anyone who needs to stay for less than a month. Respite Care services can offer relief for current caregivers, allowing them to take a much-needed break.

Specialized Care for Adults with Developmental Disabilities:

With a specialty in caring for adults with developmental disabilities, they have the certifications, expertise and experience to accommodate and care for disabled adults through all stages of life.

Hospice Care:

They provide personalized and compassionate hospice care services for residents and their families during the end-stages of life. Respect and dignity are top priorities for residents and their families – especially during these times.

Hoyer Lift:

They have an on-site Hoyer lift available for those who need it, and their caregivers have proper training and experience using it.

Seeking Medicaid Resident

Emerald City Senior Living accepts Medicaid, and is seeking a Medicaid resident for this available room. Medicaid recipients typically need to have an assessment from Medicaid which will include the resident’s level of required care, as well as the daily and monthly dollar amount that Medicaid will cover for their care. There may also be certain waivers available for qualifying residents, which may cover additional items that Medicaid itself will not cover. Each state has very different Medicaid rules, coverages and limits, as well as different available waiver programs. If you have not already done so, please contact your local Medicaid office to determine what you need to do in order to get an official assessment, and if you qualify for any additional coverage. Once you have that, you can contact this facility (or any other facility that accepts Medicaid) and they will ask you some questions about the care you require and about your Medicaid assessment. The facility will make the final determination whether to accept a resident or not. Room & Care encourages residents to contact multiple facilities to improve their odds of being accepted faster. Facilities look at factors such as whether the resident will fit in with their other current residents, if the resident requires a similar level of care as the other residents in the facility, current number of available caregivers or a lack thereof - among other factors.

Emerald City Senior Living provides 24/7 supervision, emergency assistance and daily companionship as a base service for all residents.

Meals

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included every day. Accommodations can be made for any dietary restrictions or special doctor-prescribed diets. Additional food items such as coffee, tea and snacks between meals are also included.

Blood Pressure and Weight Checks

Regular blood pressure and weight checks are done at scheduled intervals, and recorded to track irregularities.

Housekeeping and Laundry

Emerald City Senior Living does all daily housekeeping throughout the home as well as in your room. Laundry is provided for your flat linens on a set schedule or sooner if needed. Your personal laundry is also washed and folded regularly by care staff.

Activities

A range of social and recreational activities are offered every week to keep residents occupied, entertained and engaged. Feel free to ask what types of activities are scheduled for this week.

Utilities

All standard home utilities are included in the base price. (This excludes personal cell phone plans which are paid for by the resident or family.)

Transportation

Local transportation for certain scheduled outings, as well as doctor visits is provided at no additional cost.
