NORTH CREEK RETIREMENT & ASSISTED LIVING COMMUNITY is an Independent Living Community located in BOTHELL, WA. Independent Living in Washington is typically for 55+ adults who are fully independent, but no longer wish to care for a household. In WA, the design of Independent Living Facilities may vary from large apartment / resort style facilities to townhome or cottage neighborhoods. Independent Living comes with a community of like-minded individuals, and is a highly social setting with common areas for residents, communal dining halls for (optional) meal plans and other various amenities. Many offer local transportation for residents. Independent Living is perfect for someone who needs no daily assistance of any kind, but prefers to spend less time on household chores such as housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation. Independent Living Communities are not suitable for residents who require any assistance with Activities of Daily Living. Independent Living communities typically have a staff of housekeepers, kitchen/dining room staff and concierge, but no caregivers. The available room listed here is a private 1-Bedroom Suite which may also be referred to as a 1-Bedroom Apartment or Cottage. Besides the bedroom, a 1-bedroom suite will typically include a separate living room and kitchen. The size is listed as 529 Sq Ft. The bathroom is private, and wont be used by anybody else but you.

Smoking Policy:

NORTH CREEK RETIREMENT & ASSISTED LIVING COMMUNITY does not allow smoking on the premises, but they do allow the use of Vapor/E-cigarettes in designated areas. They have one or more designated areas outside where Vapor/E-cigarette users can vape away from the building and away from other residents. Vaping indoors or anywhere outside the designated areas is strictly prohibited.

Short-Term / Respite Care:

NORTH CREEK RETIREMENT & ASSISTED LIVING COMMUNITY offers Short-Term / Respite Care with daily rates for anyone who needs to stay for less than a month. Respite Care services can offer relief for current caregivers, allowing them to take a much-needed break.

Onsite Rehabilitative Services:

This facility offers in-house rehabilitative services. These services may vary from providing assistance with stretching, range-of-motion, or following a prescribed at-home plan, to a full on-site exercise room with professional equipment and physical therapists. If you need onsite rehabilitative services, please make sure to verify what type of rehab services are offered at this location. Additionally, visiting therapists for scheduled physical therapy treatments may be accommodated.

Hospice Care:

They provide personalized and compassionate hospice care services for residents and their families during the end-stages of life. Respect and dignity are top priorities for residents and their families – especially during these times.

Hoyer Lift:

They have an on-site Hoyer lift available for those who need it, and their caregivers have proper training and experience using it.

Does Long Term Care Insurance Cover Independent Living?

NORTH CREEK RETIREMENT & ASSISTED LIVING COMMUNITY accepts Long Term Care (LTC) Insurance, and they may offer other types of care within the same facility or campus such as Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing or Memory Care which would work with LTC Insurance. However, LTC Insurance does NOT cover Independent Living room and board - which includes monthly rent, meal plan costs and other monthly community fees. Long Term Care Insurance is to cover the cost of care. Independent Living is for individuals who are fully independent, and don’t need any medical assistance or care. Independent Living is more of a luxury lifestyle upgrade (concierge, housekeeping, laundry service, meals) than a medical care setting. If however, you are already living in Independent Living and paying out of pocket and there’s a change to your physical or mental health, and you start needing assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), then your LTC Insurance may help. Your Long Term Care Insurance agent can help you understand your coverage, terms, and limits.

What's included?

Meals

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included every day. Accommodations can be made for any dietary restrictions or special doctor-prescribed diets. Additional food items such as coffee, tea and snacks between meals are also included.

Medications Management

Medications Management is provided as a service for all residents. Caregivers and staff keep track of administration schedules as well as prescription refill schedules.

Blood Pressure and Weight Checks

Regular blood pressure and weight checks are done at scheduled intervals, and recorded to track irregularities.

Housekeeping and Laundry

NORTH CREEK RETIREMENT & ASSISTED LIVING COMMUNITY does all daily housekeeping throughout the home as well as in your room. Laundry is provided for your flat linens on a set schedule or sooner if needed. Your personal laundry is also washed and folded regularly by care staff.

Activities

A range of social and recreational activities are offered every week to keep residents occupied, entertained and engaged. Feel free to ask what types of activities are scheduled for this week.

Utilities

All standard home utilities are included in the base price. (This excludes personal cell phone plans which are paid for by the resident or family.)

Transportation

Local transportation for certain scheduled outings, as well as doctor visits is provided at no additional cost.
