Providence Mount St. Vincent, affectionately known as “The Mount,” is a vibrant living care community for older adults in West Seattle. Our philosophy of care is driven by the core Providence values and centers on the needs, preferences and desires of our residents. As a resident or patient, you will be treated with person-centered care. Our goal is to empower each resident and patient to choose the daily routines and services he or she wishes to receive. As a result, each individual is able to maintain his or her independence, privacy and dignity.

The Mount is home to more than 400 adults who need some type of assistance with their daily living or are in need of 24-hour care. We provide supportive activities, programs and therapies to help you remain physically and mentally active, as well as socially and spiritually engaged.

Providing you with the highest quality care in a safe and comfortable environment is our top priority.

Our assisted living apartments and program are specially designed for each individual resident. They emphasize the resident's right to self determination of care and lifestyle and honor their privacy, individuality and their desires and preferences. The private apartments have private baths and kitchenettes, and many boast incredible city and territorial views. Residents have easy access to social interactions and activities; medical, dental and therapeutic services; as well as spiritual care. Children and animals are part of the community environment. Food is readily available 24 hours a day with many dining options to suit your preference.

Providence Mount St Vincent Retirement Apartments offers Short-Term / Respite Care with daily rates for anyone who needs to stay for less than a month. Respite Care services can offer relief for current caregivers, allowing them to take a much-needed break.

Onsite Rehabilitative Services:

This facility offers in-house rehabilitative services. These services may vary from providing assistance with stretching, range-of-motion, or following a prescribed at-home plan, to a full on-site exercise room with professional equipment and physical therapists. If you need onsite rehabilitative services, please make sure to verify what type of rehab services are offered at this location. Additionally, visiting therapists for scheduled physical therapy treatments may be accommodated.

Providence Mount St Vincent Retirement Apartments accepts Long Term Care (LTC) Insurance, and they may offer other types of care within the same facility or campus such as Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing or Memory Care which would work with LTC Insurance. However, LTC Insurance does NOT cover Independent Living room and board - which includes monthly rent, meal plan costs and other monthly community fees. Long Term Care Insurance is to cover the cost of care. Independent Living is for individuals who are fully independent, and don’t need any medical assistance or care. Independent Living is more of a luxury lifestyle upgrade (concierge, housekeeping, laundry service, meals) than a medical care setting. If however, you are already living in Independent Living and paying out of pocket and there’s a change to your physical or mental health, and you start needing assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), then your LTC Insurance may help. Your Long Term Care Insurance agent can help you understand your coverage, terms, and limits.

What's included?

Meals

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included every day. Accommodations can be made for any dietary restrictions or special doctor-prescribed diets. Additional food items such as coffee, tea and snacks between meals are also included.

Medications Management

Medications Management is provided as a service for all residents. Caregivers and staff keep track of administration schedules as well as prescription refill schedules.

Blood Pressure and Weight Checks

Regular blood pressure and weight checks are done at scheduled intervals, and recorded to track irregularities.

Housekeeping and Laundry

Providence Mount St Vincent Retirement Apartments does all daily housekeeping throughout the home as well as in your room. Laundry is provided for your flat linens on a set schedule or sooner if needed. Your personal laundry is also washed and folded regularly by care staff.

Activities

A range of social and recreational activities are offered every week to keep residents occupied, entertained and engaged. Feel free to ask what types of activities are scheduled for this week.

Utilities

All standard home utilities are included in the base price. (This excludes personal cell phone plans which are paid for by the resident or family.)

Transportation
