Norway Hill AFH is a licensed senior care home providing quality nursing care in a family atmosphere. We provide great compassionate professional nursing care in a residential living setting for up to six residents.

In our two homes we provide light assisted to Hospice level of care to six residents. We offer seniors with dementia the finest care and living conditions as we specialize in Dementia in one of our location.

The homes are contemporary and beautifully decorated to enhance the feel of home for our residents. The rooms can also be personalized per each resident’s preference.

We are dedicated to our residents and their quality of life, and work together with their families to make our homes their own.

About Us

Our company was founded by Ben Sterciuc and his wife out of the desire to help the elderly of our communities live a life of dignity and spend the remaining days of their lives in great family environments where they receive compassionate and professional care.

 

Ben holds an Associates Degree in Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Nursing degree from University of Washington. He has been a great advocate for the seniors community over the years and has spent the last 16 years providing great quality geriatric nursing care to his clients.

 

More Information About NORWAY HILL AFH

NORWAY HILL AFH is a Memory Care facility located in BOTHELL, WA. In Washington State, Memory Care is a term used to describe the professional care provided to individuals who suffer from Alzheimer’s or other types of dementia. Memory Care in WA can typically be found across 3 primary types of assisted living – Adult Family Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, and Nursing Homes. Memory Care is normally considered an Add-On service in addition to the daily assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) required by the resident. Aside from the specialized training and certifications required for staff and caregivers, the buildings themselves must be equipped with certain features such as special locks on the doors before they can be licensed for Memory Care. NORWAY HILL AFH is fully certified, and up to date on their training and certifications to properly care for residents with Alzheimer’s/dementia.
NORWAY HILL AFH currently has a room available, and is looking for the right resident to join their home. The available room listed here is private, meaning you get the entire room to yourself. The bathroom is private, and wont be used by anybody else but you.

Pets:

NORWAY HILL AFH does not allow pets. This does not necessarily mean there are no pets in the facility, but that they do not allow residents to bring their own.

Smoking Policy:

NORWAY HILL AFH does not allow smoking on the premises, but they do allow the use of Vapor/E-cigarettes in designated areas. They have one or more designated areas outside where Vapor/E-cigarette users can vape away from the building and away from other residents. Vaping indoors or anywhere outside the designated areas is strictly prohibited.

Short-Term / Respite Care:

NORWAY HILL AFH offers Short-Term / Respite Care with daily rates for anyone who needs to stay for less than a month. Respite Care services can offer relief for current caregivers, allowing them to take a much-needed break.

Hospice Care:

They provide personalized and compassionate hospice care services for residents and their families during the end-stages of life. Respect and dignity are top priorities for residents and their families – especially during these times.

Hoyer Lift:

They have an on-site Hoyer lift available for those who need it, and their caregivers have proper training and experience using it.

What is the cost?

The base price is $194 per day or $6,000 per month. There's a lot that's included in the base price, but assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) is typically not included. ADLs are common daily tasks such as grooming, dressing, eating and bathing (among others). The final price is different for each resident, and is determined according to how much daily care and assistance with ADLs is required each day.

What's included in the base price?

NORWAY HILL AFH provides 24/7 supervision, emergency assistance and daily companionship as a base service for all residents.

Meals

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included every day. Accommodations can be made for any dietary restrictions or special doctor-prescribed diets. Additional food items such as coffee, tea and snacks between meals are also included.

Medications Management

Medications Management is provided as a service for all residents. Caregivers and staff keep track of administration schedules as well as prescription refill schedules.

Blood Pressure and Weight Checks

Regular blood pressure and weight checks are done at scheduled intervals, and recorded to track irregularities.

Housekeeping and Laundry

NORWAY HILL AFH does all daily housekeeping throughout the home as well as in your room. Laundry is provided for your flat linens on a set schedule or sooner if needed. Your personal laundry is also washed and folded regularly by care staff.

Activities

A range of social and recreational activities are offered every week to keep residents occupied, entertained and engaged. Feel free to ask what types of activities are scheduled for this week.

Utilities

All standard home utilities are included in the base price. (This excludes personal cell phone plans which are paid for by the resident or family.)
