Description

About Us

Bailey-Boushay House provides compassionate, highly-professional care for people with HIV/AIDS. Many of our clients also deal with chemical dependencies, mental health issues and/or homelessness.

Owned and operated by Virginia Mason, Bailey-Boushay House programs for clients with HIV/AIDS include:

A licensed, 35-bed skilled nursing home

End-of-life care as part of our inpatient program

A comprehensive HIV outpatient program

Chemical dependency outreach services

A homeless shelter and housing stability programs

As space permits, our inpatient program also provides end-of-life care for people with other complex conditions, including ALS, Huntington’s Disease and cancer.

Serving the Individual and the Community

HIV is both a personal health issue and a community health issue. We help clients keep their HIV viral loads depressed so they can be healthier and avoid infecting other people.

It’s a tremendously challenging goal, and involves building trust with people who have been largely marginalized and mistreated.

Bailey-Boushay House is a place of dignity, creativity and respect, where people can make their own choices and belong to a community that supports them.

More Information About BAILEY-BOUSHAY HOUSE

BAILEY-BOUSHAY HOUSE is a Memory Care facility located in Seattle, WA. In Washington State, Memory Care is a term used to describe the professional care provided to individuals who suffer from Alzheimer’s or other types of dementia. Memory Care in WA can typically be found across 3 primary types of assisted living – Adult Family Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, and Nursing Homes. Memory Care is normally considered an Add-On service in addition to the daily assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) required by the resident. Aside from the specialized training and certifications required for staff and caregivers, the buildings themselves must be equipped with certain features such as special locks on the doors before they can be licensed for Memory Care. BAILEY-BOUSHAY HOUSE is fully certified, and up to date on their training and certifications to properly care for residents with Alzheimer’s/dementia.
BAILEY-BOUSHAY HOUSE currently has a room available, and is looking for the right resident to join their home. The available room listed here is private, meaning you get the entire room to yourself. The bathroom is private, and wont be used by anybody else but you.
BAILEY-BOUSHAY HOUSE does not allow pets. This does not necessarily mean there are no pets in the facility, but that they do not allow residents to bring their own.
BAILEY-BOUSHAY HOUSE does not allow smoking on the premises, but they do allow the use of Vapor/E-cigarettes in designated areas. They have one or more designated areas outside where Vapor/E-cigarette users can vape away from the building and away from other residents. Vaping indoors or anywhere outside the designated areas is strictly prohibited.
BAILEY-BOUSHAY HOUSE offers Short-Term / Respite Care with daily rates for anyone who needs to stay for less than a month. Respite Care services can offer relief for current caregivers, allowing them to take a much-needed break.
This facility offers in-house rehabilitative services. These services may vary from providing assistance with stretching, range-of-motion, or following a prescribed at-home plan, to a full on-site exercise room with professional equipment and physical therapists. If you need onsite rehabilitative services, please make sure to verify what type of rehab services are offered at this location. Additionally, visiting therapists for scheduled physical therapy treatments may be accommodated.
They provide personalized and compassionate hospice care services for residents and their families during the end-stages of life. Respect and dignity are top priorities for residents and their families – especially during these times.
They have an on-site Hoyer lift available for those who need it, and their caregivers have proper training and experience using it.

What is the cost?

The base price is $1065 per day or $33,000 per month. There's a lot that's included in the base price, but assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) is typically not included. ADLs are common daily tasks such as grooming, dressing, eating and bathing (among others). The final price is different for each resident, and is determined according to how much daily care and assistance with ADLs is required each day.
