Description
About Us
Bailey-Boushay House provides compassionate, highly-professional care for people with HIV/AIDS. Many of our clients also deal with chemical dependencies, mental health issues and/or homelessness.
Owned and operated by Virginia Mason, Bailey-Boushay House programs for clients with HIV/AIDS include:
A licensed, 35-bed skilled nursing home
End-of-life care as part of our inpatient program
A comprehensive HIV outpatient program
Chemical dependency outreach services
A homeless shelter and housing stability programs
As space permits, our inpatient program also provides end-of-life care for people with other complex conditions, including ALS, Huntington’s Disease and cancer.
Serving the Individual and the Community
HIV is both a personal health issue and a community health issue. We help clients keep their HIV viral loads depressed so they can be healthier and avoid infecting other people.
It’s a tremendously challenging goal, and involves building trust with people who have been largely marginalized and mistreated.
Bailey-Boushay House is a place of dignity, creativity and respect, where people can make their own choices and belong to a community that supports them.
