Assisted Living

What is assisted living? Assisted living was originally created in the 1980’s as a less expensive, more homelike alternative to the traditional nursing home.

Although regulations vary from state to state, assisted living provides a wide array of services designed to keep an elder as independent as possible, for as long as possible. In most cases, assisted living helps seniors stay more active, social, and engaged in life than they otherwise would be living alone. Not to mention the added security of 24-hour staff, assistance with medications, and communication between healthcare providers

Benefits of Assisted Living Include:

·        Tailoring of services to the individual needs of the elder

·        Maintenance of an elder’s lifestyle and connection to the greater community (assistance with transportation, shopping, recreation, and volunteerism are just a few examples)

·        Programs designed to keep an elder active and engaged in life and their surroundings

·        Affordable alternative to the high-cost of in-home care and nursing homes

·        Extended ‘family’ to care and watch out for the elder’s safety and well-being

·        Help prevent major disasters that sometimes happen when elders live alone

·        Monitoring of health and general well-being changes

A growth and wellness plan is created in partnership with you to discuss which services will meet your needs.

Based on Your Care

Assisted living is designed for assistance only when you need it. Level of care services are based on your care needs for things such as:

·        Medication assistance

·        Assistance with dressing

·        Continence care

·        Assistance with mobility

·        And more!

More Information About HERON POINTE SENIOR LIVING

HERON POINTE SENIOR LIVING is an Assisted Living Facility located in MONMOUTH, OR. Assisted Living Facilities in Oregon are typically licensed to care for 6+ residents. Some smaller Assisted Living Facilities may accommodate 6 – 20 residents, while others may accommodate 60+ residents per facility. OR Assisted Living Facilities are typically large apartment / resort style facilities that encourage social interactions, group activities and communal dining. In Oregon, these are separated into two categories - Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs) and Residential Care Facilities (RCFs). Assisted Living Facilities offer private self-contained Studios and 1 - 3 Bedroom Suites, Apartments and Cottages with their own kitchens and bathrooms. Residential Care Facilities only offer private and shared rooms, with no Studios or Apartment style units. Both offer communal dining halls. Room & Care fits both of these into the same category called Assisted Living Facilities. You can tell by the Room Type which type of facility it actually is. Shared Rooms and Private Rooms are formally considered Residential Care Facilities (RCFs), while Studios, 1, 2 and 3-Bedroom Suites are formally considered Assisted Living Facilities. Both are perfect for people who need some daily assistance, but prefer a much more independent and social lifestyle. Assisted Living Facilities and RCFs typically employ less caregivers per resident than smaller Adult Foster Homes. This encourages independence and social interaction, but may not be suitable for residents who require constant attention and care from staff.
HERON POINTE SENIOR LIVING currently has a room available, and is looking for the right resident to join their facility. The available room listed here is a private 1-Bedroom Suite which may also be referred to as a 1-Bedroom Apartment or Cottage. Besides the bedroom, a 1-bedroom suite will typically include a separate living room and kitchen. The size is listed as 350 Sq Ft. The bathroom is private, and wont be used by anybody else but you.
HERON POINTE SENIOR LIVING does not allow pets. This does not necessarily mean there are no pets in the facility, but that they do not allow residents to bring their own.
HERON POINTE SENIOR LIVING does not allow smoking on the premises, but they do allow the use of Vapor/E-cigarettes in designated areas. They have one or more designated areas outside where Vapor/E-cigarette users can vape away from the building and away from other residents. Vaping indoors or anywhere outside the designated areas is strictly prohibited.

What is the cost?

The base price is $177 per day or $5,495 per month. There's a lot that's included in the base price, but assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) is typically not included.
