Description
Our Services
Located in Mount Angel, Providence Benedictine Nursing Center provides both transitional care rehabilitation following an acute hospital visit and long-term skilled nursing care. We are committed to delivering the best in care through all of our actions. That commitment is evident in our compassionate and dedicated team as well as in the special attention we provide to each person and their individual preferences, choices, needs and wants. We seek to serve the whole person – body, mind and spirit.
Transitional Care and Rehabilitation
We provide excellent rehabilitative therapies and care after hospitalization for planned surgery, accident, injury or serious illness. We help you transition from hospital to home successfully and safely. Our approach relies on a team of nurses, CNAs, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, social service workers, chaplains and more. Our services include wound care, IV therapy, joint replacement rehab, and post-stroke care.
Long-Term Skilled Nursing Care
With round the clock skilled nursing care and assistance with activities of daily living, we strive to make residents feel at home. We provide a resident-centered approach designed to enhance both the quantity and the quality of life. Residents are supported by nurses, CNAs, social services workers, a dietitian, chaplains, a life enrichment coordinator and others.
Enhanced Care Unit
This is a unique service pairing skilled nursing care alongside qualified mental health professionals. Our approach focuses on dignity and compassion, placing the resident at the center of care planning and goals. The team supporting the unit includes nurses, CNAs, social services workers, chaplains, a dietitian and a life enrichment coordinator alongside mental health supports provided by Marion County.
Brief History
The Benedictine Nursing Home was founded in 1957 by the Benedictine Sisters of Mount Angel as they partnered with community leaders to meet the needs of the greater Mount Angel area. Through the years, the Nursing Center has grown to be a leader in long-term care by developing innovative, nationally-recognized programs. In 1998, became a part of Providence and has continued to stand in solidarity with our community to provide quality care for all people.
COVID
In recent years, our attention to the risks of infections and the importance of keeping residents, patients, visitors, and caregivers safe has only increased. We’re committed to being transparent and we provide regular updates to family members and loved ones. We continue to closely monitor the spread of COVID-19 in our community and take immediate action accordingly.
We recognize the importance of family connections and social interactions. We continue to welcome visitors for our residents and patients. We ask that all visitors sign in and out.
