More Information About Affinity Adult Family Home

Affinity Adult Family Home is a Memory Care facility located in Spokane, WA. In Washington State, Memory Care is a term used to describe the professional care provided to individuals who suffer from Alzheimer’s or other types of dementia. Memory Care in WA can typically be found across 3 primary types of assisted living – Adult Family Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, and Nursing Homes. Memory Care is normally considered an Add-On service in addition to the daily assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) required by the resident. Aside from the specialized training and certifications required for staff and caregivers, the buildings themselves must be equipped with certain features such as special locks on the doors before they can be licensed for Memory Care. Affinity Adult Family Home is fully certified, and up to date on their training and certifications to properly care for residents with Alzheimer’s/dementia.
Affinity Adult Family Home currently has a room available, and is looking for the right resident to join their home. The available room listed here is shared, meaning you will have a roommate. The bathroom is shared between you and one or more of the residents in the home.
Affinity Adult Family Home does not allow pets. This does not necessarily mean there are no pets in the facility, but that they do not allow residents to bring their own.
Affinity Adult Family Home is proud to be a completely smoke and vape free community. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited throughout the entire premises. If anyone wishes to smoke or vape, they may do so off the property.
Affinity Adult Family Home offers Short-Term / Respite Care with daily rates for anyone who needs to stay for less than a month. Respite Care services can offer relief for current caregivers, allowing them to take a much-needed break.
With a specialty in caring for adults with developmental disabilities, they have the certifications, expertise and experience to accommodate and care for disabled adults through all stages of life.
With a specialty in Mental Health, the staff here have the certifications, expertise and experience to accommodate and care for adults with a variety of mental health conditions.
They provide personalized and compassionate hospice care services for residents and their families during the end-stages of life. Respect and dignity are top priorities for residents and their families – especially during these times.
They have an on-site Hoyer lift available for those who need it, and their caregivers have proper training and experience using it.

What is the cost?

The base price is $258 per day or $8,000 per month. There's a lot that's included in the base price, but assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) is typically not included. ADLs are common daily tasks such as grooming, dressing, eating and bathing (among others). The final price is different for each resident, and is determined according to how much daily care and assistance with ADLs is required each day.

What's included in the base price?

Affinity Adult Family Home provides 24/7 supervision, emergency assistance and daily companionship as a base service for all residents.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included every day. Accommodations can be made for any dietary restrictions or special doctor-prescribed diets. Additional food items such as coffee, tea and snacks between meals are also included.
Medications Management is provided as a service for all residents. Caregivers and staff keep track of administration schedules as well as prescription refill schedules.
Regular blood pressure and weight checks are done at scheduled intervals, and recorded to track irregularities.
Affinity Adult Family Home does all daily housekeeping throughout the home as well as in your room. Laundry is provided for your flat linens on a set schedule or sooner if needed. Your personal laundry is also washed and folded regularly by care staff.
A range of social and recreational activities are offered every week to keep residents occupied, entertained and engaged. Feel free to ask what types of activities are scheduled for this week.
All standard home utilities are included in the base price. (This excludes personal cell phone plans which are paid for by the resident or family.)
