Charlton Place is ideally located near I-5 and HW 512 and is conveniently close to shopping, restaurants and medical care. We offer the perfect combination of services and amenities that blend the care seniors need with the convenience they value and the independence they cherish.

Residents and their families especially enjoy the tranquility and privacy of our large backyard that overlooks Charlton Lake.

Activities are an integral part of life at Charlton Place. Residents enjoy an array of socials, classes, and special interest groups to rejuvenate body, mind, and spirit. Other amenities include weekly housekeeping and linen service, scheduled transportation to activities and appointments, and general maintenance and repairs to apartments. Three delicious chef-prepared meals are served every day in our gracious dining room. These are just some of the features offered at Charlton Place.

Daily care is provided by a team of dedicated caregivers who offer all the personalized care and support residents need. Additionally, we have a team of licensed nurses on staff to provide both oversight consultation and nursing services. Each resident is provided with a customized Service Care Plan and are only charged for the services they need and utilize.

CHARLTON PLACE is an Assisted Living Facility located in Tacoma, WA. Assisted Living Facilities in Washington are typically licensed to care for 7+ residents. CHARLTON PLACE does not allow smoking on the premises, but they do allow the use of Vapor/E-cigarettes in designated areas. They have one or more designated areas outside where Vapor/E-cigarette users can vape away from the building and away from other residents. Vaping indoors or anywhere outside the designated areas is strictly prohibited.

Bilingual Staff:

CHARLTON PLACE has bilingual staff and caregivers who speak English and Spanish to help communicate with residents who prefer to speak in their native language.

Short-Term / Respite Care:

CHARLTON PLACE offers Short-Term / Respite Care with daily rates for anyone who needs to stay for less than a month. Respite Care services can offer relief for current caregivers, allowing them to take a much-needed break.

Hospice Care:

They provide personalized and compassionate hospice care services for residents and their families during the end-stages of life. Respect and dignity are top priorities for residents and their families – especially during these times.

What is the cost?

CHARLTON PLACE works with insurance companies, and accepts Long Term Care (LTC) Insurance policies as a payment source for this room. They are familiar with the billing requirements, and are seeking a Long Term Care Insurance resident for this room. The base price is $85 per day or $2,650 per month. There's a lot that's included in the base price, but assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) is typically not included. ADLs are common daily tasks such as grooming, dressing, eating and bathing (among others). The final price is different for each resident, and is determined according to how much daily care and assistance with ADLs is required each day. Your Long Term Care Insurance agent can help you understand your policy coverages, terms, and limitations.

What's included in the base price?

CHARLTON PLACE provides 24/7 supervision, emergency assistance and daily companionship as a base service for all residents.

Meals

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included every day. Accommodations can be made for any dietary restrictions or special doctor-prescribed diets. Additional food items such as coffee, tea and snacks between meals are also included.

Medications Management

Medications Management is provided as a service for all residents. Caregivers and staff keep track of administration schedules as well as prescription refill schedules.

Blood Pressure and Weight Checks

Regular blood pressure and weight checks are done at scheduled intervals, and recorded to track irregularities.

Housekeeping and Laundry

CHARLTON PLACE does all daily housekeeping throughout the home as well as in your room. Laundry is provided for your flat linens on a set schedule or sooner if needed. Your personal laundry is also washed and folded regularly by care staff.

Activities

A range of social and recreational activities are offered every week to keep residents occupied, entertained and engaged. Feel free to ask what types of activities are scheduled for this week.

Utilities

All standard home utilities are included in the base price. (This excludes personal cell phone plans which are paid for by the resident or family.)

Transportation

Local transportation for certain scheduled outings, as well as doctor visits is provided at no additional cost.
